CHRISTOPHER ALAN BRAWNER
GRANT WRITER

In summer of 1963, my parents welcomed me into this world. I was fortunate to be born into a loving and caring family in the Lone Star State. In my early childhood I had an educational background of oral-mainstreamed-residential setting before graduating from Texas School for the Deaf with top ten honors in Austin, Texas.
Because of my deafness, I enrolled in Gallaudet University in 1982 and graduated with a BA degree in Psychology of Deafness. I was hired at Deaf-Reach agency which served the Deaf and Mental Health population in Washington D.C. for seven years before I went back to Gallaudet and George Washington University to get my Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling in 1999.
My work record shows that I dedicated my time and effort with my past employers as camp counselor, residential manager, teacher aide, program specialist, mental health provider as case manager and coordinator in various programs. I am currently teaching American Sign Language classes in Interpreting Training Program at a community college in Houston, Texas.
In summer 2010, I was proudly involved with the ManKind Project---SILENT WARRIORS WEEKEND with five deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing individuals. It was an incredible experience for me that changed me into a humbled deaf individual.
I am currently in charging of grant-writing proposals for SILENT WARRIORS.
SEAN C. NORRIS
WEBMASTER

I was born in El Paso, TX and have lived in North Carolina, Germany, Kansas, California, District of Columbia, Maryland, and now residing in Arizona, where I moved to start a new adventure with my partner, Neal and dog, Pepper.
I entered a New Warrior Training Weekend in November 14-16, 2008. It was the day when I woke up as a new man. I had learned to not hold my emotion to myself. Since that day, I continued making improvements in my life and met my goal by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Applied Information Technology in May 2010.
I like to write, so I write as often I can. Joining the Man to Man group on Goodreads.com has immensely boosted my motivation to write. I want to become a successful Deaf author, writing about man to man love, with some paranormal and horror thrown in for a good measure.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, mainly in the paranormal genre. I love to participate in reading challenges, reading as much as possible. I enjoy doing outdoor activities such as hiking, and I run on a daily basis. I enjoy participating in running events, half marathons and 5k's.
When I am not writing or reading, I like to practice my skills with web design and development hence the http://mkpdeaf.org. I love to hang out with the love of my life as often as I can, finding things to do inside and outside the house. Whether it is a yard work, hiking, bike riding, walking Pepper, eating out at a cozy dinner or just loving.
I am currently serving as the webmaster for the SILENT WARRIORS website.
